LEARNING, ONE IDEA AT A TIME

Learning by grade.
Start with one idea.

Find a topic that connects to schoolwork, read a worked example, and try a question of your own. These public guides are open to students, parents and anyone helping a learner take the next step.

Find your grade
KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 12

Choose a starting point.

Elementary and middle-school guides introduce grade-specific topics. High-school guides highlight courses you may be studying; your school determines the actual sequence. Choose a familiar topic to review or one that matches a current assignment.

Elementary school

Read together, draw an idea, and talk through a small example.

Middle school

Connect a method with the reasoning behind it.

High school

Choose examples that match your actual course placement.

These examples come from FutureSteps’ Texas starter collection. They introduce selected topics and support review; they are not a complete curriculum, school assessment or course credit.

MAKE IT USEFUL

A grade is a starting point.
Your question gives it focus.

If a topic feels difficult, begin with the worked example and describe the first step you understand. If it feels familiar, cover the solution, try the question, and check whether you can justify each step.

Young learners can read the examples with a grown-up. Eligible account holders can also use the in-app learning path, save Notes and ask Study to explain a lesson. Availability depends on age, verification and Study access.

These public guides and examples are free to read without an account. FutureSteps accounts are for ages 13 and older, with email verification and applicable permission steps. Younger learners can explore these public examples with a grown-up.

Eligible students receive a 90-day homework trial from their signup date, after email verification and required age and permission checks. No invitation is needed. Up to 100 Study requests per day, subject to your weekly allowance and service availability. Longer chats and photos may use more allowance. AI coaching requires a paid upgrade from the start. The homework trial needs no card and never charges automatically.

Grade level does not determine account eligibility. For eligible students, in-app Study includes AI homework help and tutoring; college and career AI coaching is a separate paid feature.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Questions before you begin.

Is this a complete K–12 curriculum?

No. These public guides introduce selected topics from the Texas starter collection. They support study and review alongside school instruction. They do not certify mastery, cover every standard or award course credit.

Can I use the examples outside Texas?

Yes, the public examples can be read anywhere. Many concepts are useful across school systems, but the current course references are Texas-based. Use your own school's materials to choose the right topics and sequence.

Why are high-school courses available in more than one grade?

Course placement varies. A student might study Algebra I, Geometry or another course at a different point from a classmate. The in-app course choices support available grade selections for study and review; the grade guides do not prescribe a graduation plan.
